Law enforcement is investigating a fatal incident after a person was found dead Tuesday night in the parking lot of a Walmart in Boca Raton.
According to the Boca Raton Police, deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:45 p.m. to the Walmart located along Palmetto Park Boulevard following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, first responders located one individual in the parking lot who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased, nor have they provided details regarding any suspects or a possible motive. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
The area was secured as deputies conducted an initial investigation, and detectives worked to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses. Officials did not immediately indicate whether there is an ongoing threat to the public.
