The Fort Worth community is grappling with deep sorrow following a tragic and heartbreaking domestic incident that claimed two lives inside a southwest Fort Worth apartment. What began as concern for a missed workday ended in an unimaginable loss, leaving loved ones searching for answers and struggling with grief.
According to Fort Worth police, officers were called to an apartment in the 5700 block of Remington Circle after the victim’s employer became alarmed when she failed to report to work. A welfare check was requested out of concern for her well-being. When officers arrived and received no response, they forced entry into the apartment. Inside the living room, they discovered the bodies of a couple, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Tiffney Monee Wilson, 46, who died from a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities stated that the man, identified as Johnny Antonio Perrin, 48, also died from a gunshot wound to the head, with the medical examiner ruling his death a suicide. Police said the two were in a dating relationship.
The loss of Tiffney Monee Wilson has left family, friends, coworkers, and the wider community in mourning. She was more than a name in a report—she was a woman with a life, a career, relationships, and a future that mattered. Her absence will be felt deeply by those who knew her, worked alongside her, and loved her. The concern shown by her employer, which prompted the welfare check, speaks to the impact she had on others and the void her loss has created.
This tragedy also underscores the devastating reality of domestic violence and mental health crises, and how quickly lives can be lost when warning signs go unseen or support comes too late. Incidents like this leave lasting emotional scars, not only on families but on entire communities, reminding us of the importance of compassion, awareness, and reaching out when something feels wrong.
As Fort Worth mourns, we ask that the community keep the family and loved ones of Tiffney Monee Wilson in their thoughts and prayers. May they find strength in the love that surrounds them and comfort in cherished memories during this painful time.
