Despite being placed on advanced life support, including heart support machines and kidney dialysis James continued to fight with an unbreakable spirit, demonstrating his characteristic determination even in the face of overwhelming challenges.

During his illness, James suffered multiple strokes due to blood clots, severely impacting his mobility.
