Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen was placed under lockdown on Tuesday following a reported threat made toward a pupil, prompting a rapid response from police and emergency services.

In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said: “I can confirm police are at the location following a report of a threat to a pupil at the school. A lockdown has been implemented. All pupils and staff are safe at the location. Officers remain at the school.”
