Authorities are investigating after a person died following a jump from the Del Mar Heights Bridge on Interstate 5 on Friday, prompting a full closure of northbound lanes.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. near the Del Mar Heights Road exit, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD). Police confirmed that officers were responding to a person on the overpass, which led to the closure of all northbound lanes of I-5 in the area.
