Two Injured in Louisville Jacobs Neighborhood Shooting, Police Investigate
Louisville police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured in the Jacobs neighborhood on Tuesday, November 25.
Officers responded around 3:40 p.m. to the 3700 block of Craig Avenue after multiple 911 calls reported shots fired. Upon arrival, they found a 17-year-old girl with a graze wound. While assisting her, officers were notified of another victim at the 3600 block of Wheeler Avenue, where a male, age unknown, had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.
Both victims were transported to UofL Hospital and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit are leading the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest the shooting may have started in the 3700 block of Kahlert Avenue, though details are still being confirmed. No suspects have been identified at this time.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the LMPD anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are urging the community to come forward with any information.
