Loved Ones Urge Prayers for 22-Year-Old Shooting Survivor as Bristol Community Grieves
Friends, family, and community members are rallying around 22-year-old Kevin Collin, who remains in the hospital fighting for his life after a deadly shooting in Bristol over the weekend. Loved ones are asking the public to keep Kevin in their thoughts and prayers as he undergoes critical treatment. The tragedy unfolded shortly after midnight on Sunday along Lilly Street in Bristol, Tennessee. Officers responding to the scene discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Two victims — 20-year-old Deonte Wright and 21-year-old Lexy Coleman — were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Kevin, the third victim, was rushed to the hospital, where he continues to fight for recovery.
Police have identified 18-year-old Elijah Khalil Campbell as the suspected shooter. He is currently facing several charges, including two counts of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, among other offenses. Investigators say the case remains active, and they are continuing to gather information about what led up to the violence.
