Officers were called to an address on Fullerton Road in Byfleet shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, following reports that a young man had been stabbed. Armed response officers, a police dog unit, and a drone team were all sent to the scene as part of the urgent investigation.
The victim, believed to be in his late teens, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time.
Three Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Murder
Surrey Police confirmed that three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. A man in his 20s and a man in his late teens have since been released on bail, while a second man in his 20s remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Officers carried out extensive searches in the area on Saturday night, which accounted for the heightened police activity witnessed by residents.
Police Reassure Local Community
A spokesperson for Surrey Police acknowledged the concerns raised by the visible police presence in the neighbourhood, saying:
“We appreciate that the significant police presence in the area may have caused concerns for residents. This was to allow officers to carry out a swift investigation, and there is not believed to be any wider risk to the community.”
