At least one person died Tuesday morning in a fatal accident on Indy’s southwest side, Indianapolis police confirmed.
Online police reports show Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and Indianapolis Fire Department crews were called to the 4200 block of South Harding Street just north of I-465 and I-69 to investigate an accident with injuries.
The run was later updated to an “accident fatal.”
It was unclear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone else was hurt.
Traffic maps show backups on Harding Street near the scene of the accident in both north and southbound lanes.
