One dead, two injured in San Marcos shooting; two suspects at large

SAN MARCOS, Texas — One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in downtown San Marcos Saturday night, police said. Two suspects are still at large.

San Marcos police responded to reports of multiple gunshots near Kissing Alley on the square at about 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the San Marcos Police Department.

Three victims were transported to area hospitals. One victim died, police said.

Police are searching for two Black male suspects. One was wearing a black hoodie with white letters, dark pants and dark shoes. The other was wearing a two-tone jacket — black over lighter gray — dark pants and a beanie, according to police.

The suspects may have left downtown in a four-door silver or gray Audi A3.

Hopkins Street was closed between LBJ Drive and Guadalupe Street as officers investigated.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects or anyone who captured pictures or video to contact the department at 512-753-2108.
