Alabama State Troopers have identified the victim of a deadly early-morning crash in Greene County as 65-year-old Rodney M. Milner of Marion.

According to investigators, the single-vehicle crash occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, on Greene County Road 18 near Swan Lane, approximately four miles north of Demopolis.

Troopers say Milner was driving a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The impact caused severe damage to the vehicle.

Authorities confirmed that Milner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
