A fatal crash involving a pedestrian on the 110 Freeway closed several lanes through Los Angeles’ Florence area Thursday morning.
The deadly incident was reported shortly before 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Manchester Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was apparently struck by a sedan while in the FasTrak lane.
Sky 5 was over the scene at 7 a.m., where a yellow tarp covering the body could be seen on the freeway. A sedan with a smashed windshield was also seen a short distance away.
A SigAlert was issued as emergency vehicles responded to the scene. The three left lanes of the freeway were closed.

Heavy delays were seen on both sides of the 110 Freeway following the crash.
It was unclear whether the pedestrian was in the lane due to a disabled vehicle or had walked onto the freeway for other reasons.
