A tragic and deeply troubling case has taken another devastating turn as former Hamilton Police Officer Brian DiBiasi, age 40, was found dead early Tuesday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in Washington Crossing State Park, located in Hopewell Township, New Jersey, authorities confirmed.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office stated that DiBiasi’s body was discovered in the southern area of the park, near the Delaware River, following what officials believe was an intentional act.
DiBiasi’s death comes months after he and his wife, Elizabeth DiBiasi, age 43, were arrested and charged in January by the New Jersey State Police in connection with a disturbing case involving the recording of child sexual abuse.
According to investigators, the couple had been accused of engaging in sexual acts in the presence of minors and filming the encounters, sparking widespread shock and outrage across Mercer County and within the law enforcement community.
At the time of their arrest, Elizabeth DiBiasi was employed as a Mercer County Sheriff’s Officer, while Brian had previously served as a Hamilton Township Police Officer before leaving the department.
