Our hearts are broken as we mourn the tragic and unimaginable loss of Cheyenne Sears, a devoted wife, loving mother, and compassionate nurse from Mooresville, Indiana. Cheyenne passed away just six days after giving birth to her beautiful twins, Caisley Nicole and Cohen Scott, following a heartbreaking car accident on State Road 67 near Paragon. Her passing has left her husband, Coty Sears, their newborn babies, and all who knew her in profound grief.
Cheyenne was known for her warm heart, radiant smile, and deep commitment to caring for others. She served as the Assistant Director of Health Services at The Springs of Mooresville, where she was admired by her colleagues, residents, and families for her dedication, compassion, and ability to make every person feel valued and loved. Her work as a nurse was not just a profession—it was her calling, one that she carried out with grace, empathy, and an unwavering sense of purpose.
A graduate of the Ivy Tech School of Nursing, Cheyenne brought her nurturing spirit and strong work ethic to every aspect of her life. Friends and family describe her as “the light in every room”—a strong, determined woman with a contagious laugh, a kind heart, and a signature greeting that will never be forgotten: “Hi, ma’am.” Her presence brought comfort, joy, and love to everyone around her.
To her beloved husband, Coty, and the entire Sears family, the community holds you in love and prayer. The loss of such a beautiful soul is unimaginable, but Cheyenne’s strength and love live on in her precious twins and in the countless lives she touched. The outpouring of support for Coty, Caisley, and Cohen is a reflection of how deeply Cheyenne was loved and respected.
This tragedy also serves as a sobering reminder of how fragile life can be. One moment can change everything—so we hold our loved ones a little tighter and remember to cherish every heartbeat, every smile, every day.
Cheyenne’s story is one of love, service, and selflessness. Though her time on earth was far too short, her legacy will endure through her children, her family, and the many people whose lives she made brighter.
Rest in peace, Cheyenne Sears.
Your light will never fade. You will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving wife, a compassionate nurse, and a beautiful soul who gave her all—for her family, her patients, and everyone blessed to know you.
