The Sulphur community is mourning the tragic loss of 37-year-old Randall Ravia, who passed away following a devastating crash late Saturday night, October 25, 2025, on West Dave Dugas Road near Choupique Road in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Randall was driving a side-by-side vehicle when he attempted to make a turn. For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle overturned, ejecting both Randall and his passenger. Randall was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His passenger was transported to another hospital out of town and remains in critical but stable condition.
Randall was a proud Sulphur native — a man known for his loyalty, humor, and love for the outdoors. He was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling. Whether he was spending time with family, working with his hands, or exploring the backroads of Louisiana, Randall lived his life with genuine joy and a free spirit that inspired everyone around him.
Friends describe Randall as someone with a heart of gold — always ready to help, always quick to laugh, and always putting others before himself. He was a devoted friend, a loving family member, and a man whose presence could brighten even the hardest days. His sudden passing has left a deep emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory continues to bring comfort through the countless stories and laughter he shared with others.
As the community gathers to honor Randall’s life, there is both sorrow and gratitude — sorrow for the loss of such a kind and vibrant soul, and gratitude for the moments and memories he leaves behind. He will forever be remembered for his strength, his kindness, and his unwavering love for the people in his life.
May Randall Ravia rest peacefully, surrounded by the same warmth and light he brought to so many during his time here on earth.
