It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Kenneth Watts, 41, of Selma, Alabama, who tragically lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025, along U.S. 80 in White Hall, Lowndes County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Mr. Watts was driving a Buick LaCrosse that became stationary due to a prior traffic stoppage. A Volvo tractor-trailer, operated by 24-year-old Timothy A. Burgett of Hope Hull, struck his vehicle, triggering a chain-reaction collision involving a third unoccupied vehicle nearby. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, but despite their efforts, Kenneth was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kenneth’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void for his family, friends, and the Selma community. Loved ones remember him as a devoted family man, a caring friend, and someone who brought warmth and kindness to those around him. His life, though tragically cut short, touched many and will be remembered fondly.
The Alabama State Troopers continue their investigation into the crash, examining visibility, traffic conditions, and other factors to fully understand the tragic sequence of events. The community has expressed deep sympathy and support for Kenneth’s family, emphasizing the importance of road safety and vigilance.
While Kenneth is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
