Glenmont Fatal Shooting: Police Investigation at Glenmont McDonald’s

Police are investigating a shooting that left one person critically injured Thursday afternoon at a McDonald’s restaurant in Glenmont.

According to authorities, officers were called around Thursday afternoon to the McDonald’s located at 376 Feura Bush Road following reports of gunfire. When law enforcement arrived, they found one individual suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition, police said.

The area was quickly secured by responding officers, and the restaurant and surrounding parking lot were taped off as investigators collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. Customers and employees inside the restaurant were safely evacuated.

As of Thursday evening, police had not released details about a suspect, possible motive, or whether the shooting was targeted or random.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” authorities said in a brief statement. “We are asking anyone with information or video footage from the area to contact police immediately.”

The Bethlehem Police Department and other local agencies remain on scene. Residents are being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.

No other injuries have been reported.
