The Metropolitan Police have cordoned off the area as an investigation gets underway. The slip road to Tolworth, coming from Shannon Corner, has been closed, and police have also sealed off North Parade, nearby flats, and several side roads around Chessington North Station.

“We were told to stay inside. There were police everywhere — cars, vans, even dogs. The whole area around the flats and KFC was taped off,” one resident said.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim, and no arrests have been confirmed at this time. Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Chessington North on Thursday evening. One person was hurt, and our enquiries are ongoing. Road closures remain in place. We ask the public to avoid the area while we carry out our investigation.”

The shops at Chessington North and the surrounding residential area are expected to remain closed.
