Stabbing in Clapham: Teen Fighting for Life After Incident Near Clapham Junction

A 19-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a stabbing near Clapham Junction on Lavender Hill this afternoon (October 21).

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3:26 p.m. after reports of a violent attack in the Wandsworth area. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived shortly after and found the teenager suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim received emergency treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital, where his condition is being described as critical. Police say they are awaiting an update from medical staff on his current state.

No arrests have been made to date, and detectives are conducting an urgent investigation to identify those responsible.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed the details in a statement:

“At 15:26hrs on Tuesday, 21 October, officers attended Lavender Hill, Wandsworth, alongside the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing. A 19-year-old was treated at the scene for stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening. We await an update on his condition. No arrests have been made, and police are urgently making enquiries.”

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or has information that could assist the investigation.

“Anybody who witnessed the incident – or who has information – is urged to call 101, quoting crime reference 4781/21OCT,” police added.

The stabbing has caused significant concern among residents and commuters in the Clapham Junction area, which is one of London’s busiest transport hubs. Police have maintained a visible presence in the area as enquiries continue.
