The victim has since been identified as **Rose Deschepper**, and investigators with the **Peel Regional Police Homicide Bureau** are calling her death an act of **intimate partner violence**. Almost immediately after discovering the body, police realized that Rose’s **one-year-old daughter** was missing, triggering an urgent search across the region.

Within hours, an **Amber Alert** was issued for the child, believed to be with her father, **Anthony Deschepper**, 33, who was quickly named as the **prime suspect** in both the homicide and abduction. The alert mobilized law enforcement agencies across Ontario, and by late evening, officials confirmed the little girl had been safely located.

Anthony Deschepper, however, remains at large. Police warn he could be driving a dark-colored vehicle and should be considered armed. Officers have set up checkpoints and are reviewing surveillance footage from the area in an effort to track his movements.

The tragedy has shaken Brampton, where domestic violence advocates are once again pleading for early intervention and stronger protection for victims. As the search continues, the community mourns the loss of **Rose Deschepper**, a young mother whose life was stolen far too soon.
