Summerside Police Services are investigating a tragic motorcycle collision that claimed the life of 23-year-old Dylan Thomas early Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Water Street, near the intersection of Heather Moyse Drive. Multiple calls were made to emergency services reporting the incident. When police and EMS arrived, they discovered a heavily damaged motorcycle and the driver, later identified as Dylan Thomas, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Thomas was quickly transported to a nearby hospital; however, despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Summerside Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the accident, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors may have contributed.
