It is with heavy hearts that the Okeechobee community mourns the tragic loss of 40-year-old Santos Gaucin, who was found deceased early Sunday morning inside a vehicle at the Debbie Park Trailer Park on NE 31st Terrace.
According to the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call after a resident discovered an unresponsive man inside a crashed vehicle. When law enforcement and emergency medical personnel arrived, they found Mr. Gaucin deceased and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The devastating discovery has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
