It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Marvia Neveta Morrison, 34, of Waterbury, who tragically lost her life in a four-vehicle crash Monday morning in Woodbury, Connecticut.
According to Connecticut State Police, the crash occurred around 8 a.m. on Route 64, just before Old Sherman Hill Road. Investigators say a Volkswagen Passat traveling eastbound for unknown reasons crossed the center line and collided head-on with Marvia’s vehicle, which was heading west. The impact caused two additional vehicles — an Audi A4 and a Toyota Camry — to collide as well.
Emergency personnel arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Marvia Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the drivers of the Audi and Toyota escaped serious harm.
Marvia’s untimely passing has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken. She was known for her warmth, her kindness, and the love she shared with those closest to her. Her radiant spirit touched many, and she will be remembered for her strength and compassion.
The Connecticut State Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are asking anyone with information or dash camera footage to contact Troop L at 860-626-7900.
As loved ones mourn this devastating loss, the community comes together to honor Marvia’s memory — a life gone too soon, but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
