CALHOUN, Ga. — The Calhoun community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Mark Holt, 54, who tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on Harmony Church Road Monday evening, October 20, 2025.
According to the Gordon County Coroner’s Office, emergency crews were called to the scene after reports of a crash. Despite lifesaving efforts, Holt was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.
“The Coroner’s Office is assisting the Georgia State Patrol during its investigation and extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Holt,” said Gordon County Coroner Nick Blalock.
Mark Holt was known throughout Calhoun for his warm personality, dedication to his work, and love for his family. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him. Friends and neighbors remember him as someone who could bring a smile to anyone’s face and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
