It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of Laurie Jones, 70, of East Amherst, who lost her life in a crash on Route 12 in Hamilton, New York, on Sunday evening.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred just before 5 p.m. near Tackabury Road when the vehicle Laurie was traveling in turned into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The impact caused severe injuries to Laurie, who was rushed to Hamilton Hospital, where she later passed away despite lifesaving efforts.
