HARTFORD, CT — With heavy hearts, we share the tragic passing of Cynthia Jiminez-Pacheco, 33, who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Hartford, alongside Joel Martinez, 32. Cynthia was discovered in the rear stairwell of 270 Franklin Avenue and transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Joel Martinez was also pronounced deceased at the scene.

Cynthia was a vibrant and cherished member of her community, known for her kindness, compassion, and the joy she brought to those around her. Friends and family remember her as someone who always offered a helping hand, a listening ear, and a warm smile that brightened every room. Her sudden and senseless death has left an immense void in the lives of all who knew her.
