The Alexander City community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jerry L. Partee, 57, whose life was tragically cut short in a hit-and-run accident on Friday, October 17, 2025. Jerry was struck by an unknown vehicle while standing along Alabama Highway 259 near the 12-mile marker in Tallapoosa County. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jerry will be remembered for his kind heart, his humor, and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. A lifelong resident of Alexander City, he was a devoted friend, brother, and neighbor who always had a smile and a helping hand for anyone in need. His gentle nature and easygoing spirit made him a joy to be around, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
