Authorities say **Daish Sherre** and a male companion were driving home when an unknown vehicle began **tailing them aggressively**. The pursuit quickly escalated as **gunfire erupted** from the suspect’s car, riddling Sherre’s vehicle with bullets. In a desperate attempt to escape, Sherre sped away, but the chase ended in catastrophe when their car **veered off the road and crashed violently**.

The impact was so severe that one occupant was **ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene**. The other was rushed to a nearby hospital in **critical condition**. Police have not released the name of the deceased pending family notification.

Officers closed the area for hours as **homicide detectives and crime scene analysts** gathered shell casings and reviewed surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses. So far, investigators have **not identified the suspects or the motive** behind the shooting.
