With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Coach Melanie Phan — a cherished member of the Calgary fitness community and an irreplaceable part of our F45 family. Mel left this world far too soon, but her legacy of strength, compassion, and radiant positivity will continue to live on in all of us.

Coach Mel was more than a trainer — she was a beacon of light, a motivator, a confidant, and a friend. Her energy lit up every class, and her belief in each individual who walked through our studio doors made us all feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether it was a high-five after a tough workout or a few kind words of encouragement, Mel had a way of lifting spirits and reminding everyone of their worth and strength — inside and out.
Her passion for fitness was matched only by her care for others. Mel brought laughter, focus, and fierce determination to every session. She pushed us to be our best — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. She made fitness feel like family, and her presence turned workouts into something more: a space of connection, joy, and resilience.
Outside the studio, Melanie was deeply loved by friends, family, and the broader Calgary community. Her vibrant personality, warm heart, and unwavering support for others left a mark that words can barely capture. She lived with purpose, led with kindness, and gave endlessly of herself to help others grow.
As we grieve this heartbreaking loss, we also choose to celebrate the extraordinary life she lived — one defined by courage, compassion, and community.
