The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 53-year-old David Anthony Boone early Thursday morning in the Union-Miles neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched around 5:04 a.m. to reports of a man shot in the area of East 128th Street. Upon arrival, they found Boone lying unresponsive in the front yard of a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel attempted to render aid, but Boone was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators with the Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit are actively reviewing evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage to determine what led to the deadly shooting.
