The Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to the scene, where emergency crews and multiple sheriff’s units were seen surrounding the resort. Crime scene tape was placed near the service entrance as investigators worked to process the area.

Witnesses and social media posts from guests reported that the individual fell onto the monorail track in the path of an oncoming train, prompting an immediate suspension of Monorail service and a heavy emergency response.

Officials have confirmed that one person is deceased, and authorities are recovering their remains. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

As of Tuesday afternoon, access to parts of the Contemporary Resort remained restricted as deputies continued their investigation. Disney officials have not yet issued a public statement.

Guests staying at nearby resorts reported seeing police activity and delays in Monorail service between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT as the area was secured.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. While the exact circumstances remain under review, early reports indicate that the incident may have been a suspected suicide.

This remains a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
