Reiley was the beloved daughter of a close-knit family who adored her beyond words. Her uncle shared, “My nephew Jason lost his beautiful daughter. No one expects to lose a child.
Her loss is devastating to her family.” Reiley was a light in their lives — funny, loving, and full of curiosity about the world. Her smile could brighten even the darkest day, and her laughter was infectious, bringing joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Those who knew Reiley describe her as a sweet soul with a kind heart and a playful spirit. She loved her friends, cared deeply about her family, and had a personality that made her stand out wherever she went.
Whether she was spending time with loved ones, participating in school activities, or simply being her fun-loving self, Reiley’s warmth and compassion touched countless lives. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family and friends.
In the midst of this unimaginable tragedy, the community has come together in an incredible show of support. A Reiley Torix Memorial Fund has been established through Carson Bank to help the family cover funeral expenses.
Donations of any amount are deeply appreciated as the family navigates this painful time. “Please help if you can,” the family’s message reads. “It’s tough times for all, so the love and support for this family is truly appreciated.”
Thanks to the generosity and compassion of the Mulvane community, the family has also been provided a place to stay from Wednesday through Sunday as they make arrangements and grieve together.
The outpouring of kindness — from meals and donations to offers of housing — has brought some comfort during a time of overwhelming sorrow. Both sides of Reiley’s family have traveled from out of state, seeking to remain together as they honor her memory and support one another.
Community members continue to search for additional temporary housing options so the family can stay together through October 19th. Those with access to an Airbnb, rental home, or spare residence have been encouraged to reach out and assist.
The family’s strength, combined with the compassion of friends, neighbors, and strangers alike, stands as a beautiful testament to the power of community in the face of grief.
