Police confirmed that two people were shot during the incident — one victim was shot in the leg, and another sustained a graze wound to the foot.
According to early reports from Chitown Crime Chasers, the suspect — described as a light-skinned Black male with short dreadlocks — initially fled the scene on foot. He was last seen wearing all black clothing with a large Mario logo on his shirt and reportedly left the area in a Chevy Malibu. Authorities have since confirmed that the suspect is now in custody. 🔒
The Evergreen Park Police Department and Chicago Police responded swiftly, supported by an EMS Level 1 response from multiple jurisdictions due to several people being injured while fleeing the store.
