With great sorrow and deep love, we share the passing of Kathleen Haley Hunsicker, beloved mother, devoted public servant, and treasured member of the Lower Gwynedd community. Kathleen passed away on October 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
A longtime resident of the Philadelphia area, Kathleen dedicated much of her life to public service as a member of the Lower Gwynedd Township Board of Supervisors. Her leadership was marked by humility, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of those around her. She was a true pillar of her community—trusted, respected, and loved by many.
To her children—Jack, Mia, Sabina, and her son who shares this tribute—Kathleen was the heart of the family. She was a mother in every beautiful sense of the word: a guiding light, a tireless cheerleader, a source of comfort, faith, and strength. She filled their lives with music, meals made with love, late-night talks, and lessons that will endure for a lifetime. Her open arms and open heart were constants in their lives.
Kathleen was also deeply devoted to her faith and her spiritual journey, helping those she loved grow in theirs. Her warmth extended beyond her family to everyone she met—friends, neighbors, colleagues, and even the dogs she cared for so dearly: Lexi, Josie, and Brodie.
She was excited about the future—looking forward to becoming a grandmother and celebrating her son’s upcoming wedding. Her absence is deeply felt, but the love she gave so freely continues to echo in every life she touched.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18 at Saint Anthony of Padua Parish in Ambler, PA. Visitation begins at 9:00 AM, with Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held afterward at Huntingdon Valley Country Club.
Kathleen, you were our compass, our joy, our home.
