Authorities are investigating a tragic accident that claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman in Colquitt County on Friday afternoon.
According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. on October 10, 2025, at the intersection of State Route 35 and State Route 33. The accident involved a sedan driven by Kennajia Artheria Jaleah Seay, and a semi-truck traveling south on SR 35.
Investigators say Seay was heading north on SR 35 and attempting to make a left turn onto SR 33 when her vehicle was struck on the passenger’s side by the front of the semi-truck. The force of the impact sent both vehicles off the roadway and into a nearby ditch in the southwest corner of the intersection.
Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock confirmed that Seay was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver was not reported injured.
The Georgia State Patrol, along with the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office and the Moultrie Police Department, continues to investigate the fatal crash.
