A fatal crash in Sheldon on Friday evening, October 10, 2025, claimed the life of an 18-year-old Enosburgh woman, according to the Vermont State Police.
At approximately 6:27 p.m., a trooper attempted to stop a silver vehicle for speeding on Vermont Route 105, just west of Colton Road. Authorities say the vehicle failed to stop and continued west at a high rate of speed. The trooper ended the attempted stop and did not pursue the vehicle.
A short time later, the trooper came upon a two-vehicle crash on Route 105 near Kane Road involving the same silver vehicle, identified as a 2010 Honda Crosstour driven by 18-year-old Aryanna Fleming of Enosburgh, and a 2000 Toyota Tundra operated by 36-year-old Andrea Dillner of Fletcher.
Investigators determined that Fleming’s vehicle went off the westbound shoulder of the road, then crossed back over the lanes and collided with the Toyota. Fleming was pronounced dead at the scene. Dillner was seriously injured and transported first to Northwestern Medical Center, then transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
