It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lieutenant Brian Bizzell, a beloved husband, father, friend, and dedicated Tulsa firefighter, who tragically lost his life in a crash in Owasso on September 30, 2025.
For more than 27 years, Brian faithfully served the Tulsa Fire Department, most recently at Station 31, where he was admired as a leader, mentor, and friend. He dedicated his life to protecting others with courage, integrity, and compassion. To his fellow firefighters, Brian wasn’t just a colleague—he was family. His steady presence, unwavering loyalty, and selfless spirit will never be forgotten.
Beyond his service, Brian was a man deeply devoted to his loved ones. Family was at the center of his world, and he cherished every moment with them. His laughter, kindness, and wisdom will live on in the memories of all who knew him.
Brian’s sudden passing leaves an immeasurable void in the Tulsa Fire Department and throughout the community he served so faithfully. While we grieve this devastating loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and love.
May his memory be a blessing, and may we honor his life by carrying forward his spirit of service and compassion.
Rest in peace, Lieutenant Bizzell. You will forever remain in our hearts.
