It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Hector Rodriguez Banuelos, age 56, who tragically lost his life in a crash along I-24 Eastbound near Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Hector was driving his 2022 Chevrolet Silverado when the collision occurred around 1:45 a.m. Despite the swift response of emergency crews, his injuries were fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The tragic chain of events began when Hector’s vehicle struck an unoccupied car that had been blocking two lanes, before colliding with another vehicle. Thankfully, no one else was seriously injured.
Beyond the heartbreaking circumstances of his passing, Hector will be remembered for the life he lived — a man known for his dedication to family, his kindness, and his strong work ethic. Friends and loved ones recall him as someone who always carried a smile, offered a helping hand, and stood as a source of strength for those around him.
As the community mourns this sudden loss, family and friends are gathering to honor his memory and celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
Hector’s life, though cut short, will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
