SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

According to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, suspects were taken into custody during coordinated raids earlier this week. Officials have not yet released the names of all individuals arrested, but charges are expected to include murder, attempted murder, and weapons violations.

Sheriff officials emphasized that the investigation remains active, with additional arrests possible as evidence continues to be processed.Neighbors described the heartbreaking scene as first responders rushed to save the child, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. “It’s just devastating — no parent should ever have to bury their child, especially from something like this,” one resident said.

Community members have since gathered to hold vigils, lighting candles and leaving flowers near the home as a show of support for the grieving family.Local leaders, including Pageland’s mayor, condemned the violence and called for unity. “This tragedy underscores the urgent need to address gun violence and conflicts before they escalate to this level,” the mayor said in a statement.

The Chesterfield County School District confirmed the child was a student in the community and announced that grief counselors would be available for classmates and teachers. Authorities urge anyone with further information to come forward as they work to ensure justice for the young victim and bring peace to the community.
