In Loving Memory of Nuria Fajardo: 14-Year-Old Remembered for Her Joy, Selflessness, and Great Energy

It’s with deep sorrow that we share the passing of 14-year-old Nuria Fajardo of Stony Point, who tragically lost her life in a triple-fatal crash in New City on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.

Nuria was one of three young victims who died when a Honda Civic crashed into a tree around 3 a.m. near North Little Tor Road and Roberts Road. Also killed in the crash were Andrew Pinos, 20, of Nanuet, and Larry Buestan, 18, of Thiells. Authorities said the car sustained “catastrophic damage,” and all three were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nuria is remembered by family and friends as a spirited and selfless young girl who could brighten any room with her smile. A GoFundMe fundraiser created in her honor describes her as “a beautiful girl who had her whole life ahead of her” someone who was always curious, compassionate, and quick to cheer others up.

“She always had great energy that would surround others with joy,” loved ones wrote.

As of Monday, Sept. 29, the fundraiser had raised $3,262 toward its $15,000 goal to assist with funeral costs. Memorial service details will be announced soon.

The Clarkstown Police Department Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate the crash.
