Missing Teen Caden Speight Found Safe in Williston

WILLISTON, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has confirmed that 17-year-old Caden Rex Speight has been located safe in Williston. Officials say the case remains an active investigation, and more details will be released as they become available.

Caden was reported missing on September 25 following an incident in the 12800 block of SW Highway 484. Initial reports linked his disappearance to a shooting and a possible abduction involving four men in a light-colored van. However, detectives later determined that those claims were unsupported by evidence.

SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

Investigators shifted the focus of their search after learning that Caden may have voluntarily left the area. Surveillance footage and receipts showed he had purchased a dark-colored mountain bike and a red and gray tent earlier that day at a Walmart in Ocala.

Sheriff Billy Woods emphasized his agency’s commitment, stating:

“We respond to every 911 call determined to uncover the truth. When juveniles are involved, it takes on even greater urgency. My deputies gave this case everything they had, and I appreciate the citizens who provided tips to assist in the search.”

The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude for the community’s support and reiterated that while Caden has been found safe, the investigation into the circumstances of his disappearance is ongoing.
