The University of Missouri and the St. Louis community are grieving the loss of Tyson Knapp, a 20-year-old student and athlete who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
A proud member of Webster Groves High School’s Class of 2024, Tyson was known for his dedication both in the classroom and on the baseball field. As a talented right-handed pitcher (RHP), he inspired teammates and coaches alike with his determination, leadership, and love for the game.

His deep ties to the St. Louis area made him a beloved figure in the community, where his warmth and spirit touched many lives.
At the University of Missouri, Tyson continued to pursue his academic and athletic passions, carrying forward the same energy and positivity that defined his high school years. His passing leaves a profound void among teammates, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be remembered not only for his athletic accomplishments but also for the compassion, strength, and light he brought into the lives of others.
