A drive-by shooting outside a neighborhood Walmart in Rowlett left one person injured Monday evening, according to local authorities.
Police say the incident happened at approximately 2501 Lakeview Parkway, where a black sedan pulled up and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
Witnesses reported that the gunfire appeared to be directed at a Walmart employee. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been disclosed.
Shoppers at the busy store described a chaotic scene as customers and employees scrambled for safety after the shots rang out.
Rowlett police have not announced any arrests and are continuing to search for the suspect vehicle.
