Authorities are investigating the death of Alexander Desarno, 34, after he was found unresponsive at an East County apartment complex early Tuesday morning.
Just after 1:30 a.m., deputies from the Lakeside Substation responded to the 425 E. Bradley Avenue complex in unincorporated El Cajon following a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Desarno inside an apartment suffering from traumatic injuries. Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, he was pronounced dead.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. At this time, details on how the incident occurred have not been released.
