Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a tragic crash on Beltline Road in Decatur on Friday.
According to the Decatur Police Department, the victim has been confirmed as 30-year-old Houston M. Terry. Officers said Terry was riding his motorcycle when the collision occurred, fatally injuring him at the scene.
The wreck also involved another vehicle, whose driver sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have not released the identity or the condition of that driver at this time.
The crash caused significant delays in the area as first responders worked to investigate the scene and provide aid. Police continue to look into the circumstances that led to the deadly collision, though no further details have yet been released.
