Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash Friday evening in Taylor as 24-year-old Billy LaFrance of Jarrell.
The crash occurred around 5:56 p.m. in the 13400 block of Chandler Road, near County Road 366. According to Taylor police, LaFrance’s motorcycle collided with a white 2021 Toyota Corolla that was turning south onto County Road 366.
Williamson County EMS arrived first and attempted lifesaving measures, but LaFrance was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, 23-year-old Melany Espana of Arlington, was taken to Scott and White Hospital in Taylor with minor injuries.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing. This marks the second fatal collision reported in Taylor so far this year.
