The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has identified the pedestrian killed in a crash on the northbound on-ramp to I-25 on Sept. 10 as 31-year-old Anthony Dutchak.
CSPD said officers were called just before 6 a.m. to the MLK Bypass at I-25, where they found Dutchak dead on the on-ramp. The initial investigation indicated he was struck at least once by a passing vehicle.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed Dutchak’s identity following an autopsy conducted on Sept. 11. CSPD’s Major Crash Team is leading the investigation, which remains ongoing. Authorities said impairment does not appear to be a factor.
According to CSPD, this incident marks the 42nd traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2025, compared to 39 at the same point last year.
