It is with profound sorrow that the family of Dr. Ioanna Agatha Katehis announces her passing on September 13, 2025, at the age of 28. Ioanna was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend whose life, though far too brief, was defined by compassion, courage, and an unshakable commitment to helping others.

Born into a family rooted in love and faith, Ioanna grew up with the values of service, kindness, and perseverance. These guiding principles shaped every aspect of her journey, from her academic pursuits to her medical career, and most importantly, in the way she cared for family and friends.

A devoted physician, Ioanna dedicated her life to the noble work of medicine. She pursued her calling with passion and unwavering determination, aspiring to create life through fertility medicine and fulfill what she believed to be God’s work.

Her patients and colleagues admired not only her medical expertise but also her warmth, empathy, and ability to connect with those in her care. For Ioanna, medicine was more than a profession—it was a vocation and a way to serve humanity.

Her battle with cancer revealed the depth of her resilience and the strength of her spirit. Even in the face of unimaginable challenges, Ioanna’s faith and positivity inspired everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted parents, George and Maria, who stood faithfully by her side; her cherished sister, Evgenia, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond; and her adored grandparents, Spiros and Evgenia Exarhos, and Vasilios and Ioanna Katehis.

She also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as countless friends who will forever remember her kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit.

Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, embraced by the eternal love of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. As they mourn her passing, they also celebrate the life she lived, the dreams she pursued, and the inspiration she provided to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though gone from this world far too soon, Ioanna leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, compassion, and faith. Her life is a reminder that even in the shortest of years, one can profoundly impact others through love, devotion, and perseverance.
