Authorities have released the identities of those involved in a deadly crash that occurred early Friday morning on Dawsonville Highway, confirming that 51-year-old Jamison Asay of Gainesville has tragically died as a result of the collision.
According to Gainesville Police Lieutenant Kevin Holbrook, the accident took place shortly after 7 a.m. near one of the city’s busiest commuter routes. Investigators say a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Asay collided with a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by 78-year-old Mack Collins, also of Gainesville.
