Authorities have identified the couple found dead in a Woodinville home Wednesday as David L. May, 62, and his wife, Sontaya May, 52. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) says the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Deputies responded to a residence on 102nd Avenue Southeast, where they discovered the couple deceased inside. Officials confirmed that no one else was present at the home.
“Detectives do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the official cause and manner of death following further examination.
The Mays had been married for more than 17 years and lived together in Woodinville.
